The Insurance Business Renaissance Is On

Is it possible that Warren Buffett has “Jumped the Shark”? Past articles have highlighted the riff between Elon Musk and Warren Buffett about car insurance. In these articles, Buffett references car insurance business is harder than Elon thinks, and that telematics is not the only element required to be successful in the insurance business*. This is somewhat true, but Mr. Buffett is also not recognizing the total impact of digital innovation in the insurance industry and the emerging insurance renaissance.
